Youths cool put cool spin on recycling with video premiere

Young people on a Harlesden, north-west London project called It’s Cool To… will show recycling, and littering, can be highlighted in an engaging manner with the premiere of their short video and edutainment show.

Recycling, and littering, may not be the coolest subjects. However BTWSC’s Brent Council Neighbourhood Working funded It’s Cool To… project worked with young participants to make the issue of recycling and littering something that can be engaged with by young people and adults alike. The It’s Cool To…Recycle end of project event takes place on Friday 11th December, 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Unity Centre, 103 Church Road, London NW10 9EG.

We will be screening the It’s Cool To… DVD on recycling. There will be a quiz, prizes, poetry and short talks by Council staff and Councillors, including Cllr Lincoln Beswick MBE, cand the young participants. We’ll also be fund-raising for the Sickle Cell Society.

It’s free and open to all Brent residents, particularly those in the Harlesden ward. To book or for more information: 020 8450 5987,,
