Fusion Awards

The North West’s biggest community awards event will take place in May this year.

From those working in a voluntary capacity and charities to those reaching new heights in their chosen career, the Fusion Awards wants to reward their endeavours.
The event aims to improve community relations by providing a platform to celebrate the positive contribution made by individuals and organizations in the community.
They are open to all regardless of culture, background or religion, and are sponsored by Asian Image.
In 2011 winners included Polish Community worker Magdalena Stryjewska, Lancaster based charity The Abaseen Foundation, Young Neighbourhood Champion Shannon Doherty and boxer Haroon Khan.
Other winners since the awards first place in 2006 have included, Canon Chris Chivers, Sun journalist Anila Baig, i-teddy inventor Imran Hakim, woman’s rights campaigner Sameem Ali and Youth Leadership Scholar Dr Alethea Melling.
Shuiab Khan, Editor of Asian Image said, “We are always surprised at the level of nominations and this year is sure to be no different.
“People do some amazing things and it is wonderful to reward them for their efforts.”
Categories include Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Education Achievement Award Entrepreneur of the year, Public Service Award, Community Cohesion Award, Young Neighbourhood Champion, Community Group of the Year and Youth Leadership award.
