Would you like to participate in important web-based research examing the relation between racism and mental health?

Black and minority ethnic people continue to be over represented within the mental health care system. However, the reason ‘why’ un certain. The absence of a clear causal relationship between pregnancy and birth complications, different explanatory model of illness, migration and socioeconomic factors and mental ill health, has led some researchers to claim that insitutional racism may contribute to the over representation of black people in the mental health care system.

To examine the possibility that racism has negative effect on mental health of black people of African and Caribbean descent, the VADM Centre for Ethnic Minority Mental Health is inviting black people to complete four web-based research questionnaires. These questionnaires can be found at: http://vadm.co.uk/

Participation is completely voluntary, and you withdraw at any time. We are also asking minority ethnic people to join the BME Research Panel. You can do this at: http://vadm.co.uk/
