MSDUK announce details of biggest ever procurement event for ethnic minority businesses

Minority Supplier Development UK (MSDUK) will be holding their biggest procurement event to date at the British Library Conference Centre on Euston Road in London on Friday 30th November from 8.30am to 5pm.

The 8th ‘MSDUK Procurement Day’ will enable ethnic minority business (EMB) owners from across the UK to meet commodity buyers from 13 blue chip organisations – CISCO Systems, ExxonMobil, Pfizer, JPMorgan, Hewlett Packard, Marriot Hotels, IBM, Merril Lynch, Lehman Brothers, Bank of America, Capital One, Dell and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Explains Mayank Shah, Business Development Director for MSDUK: “We work with our 25 corporate members to identify contracts which could potentially be fulfilled by ethnic minority businesses in their area.

“This is the largest ever procurement event we have held and it promises many commercial benefits for suppliers as well as corporate members. For example, suppliers will have the chance to attend pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings with buyers, as well as network with other minority businesses.

“It’s the ideal opportunity for EMBs to learn from corporate buyers with free access to ‘Procurement Workshops’ run by the corporate buying teams. Many suppliers will also be presenting at the ‘Supplier Showcase’. The Showcase will enable them to introduce their business to fellow delegates and corporate buyers with an audio-visual presentation in the conference theatre.”

Registration for the event is free but is by invitation only. Businesses can apply now at www.msduk.org.uk/MSDUKEventCalendar.aspx or for
