Fusion Awards 2012: Final Call for Nominations
Nominations for this year’s Fusion Awards are about to close, with organisers keen to find unsung heroes from across the North West before the deadline on 31st March.
The awards, now in their fifth year, welcome people from all walks of life and members of the public are invited to put forward themselves or any individual who deserves recognition for their valuable work in the community.
The Fusion Awards are open to anyone living or working in the North West, regardless of culture, background or religion. Categories incorporate community groups, youth leadership and public services.
Shuiab Khan, editor of the awards’ sponsor Asian Image, said: “It’s important for everyone considering nominating themselves or others to get their entries in by the closing date on 31st March. This is your chance to offer someone the recognition they deserve for making a real difference to people’s lives. The award and the ceremony in May will go some way to acknowledging and rewarding all their invaluable hard work.”
Previous winners include students, volunteers and public and private sector workers who have demonstrated making a positive change to the lives of those around them.
Those wishing to nominate themselves or someone else can enter under the following categories: Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Education Achievement Award, Entrepreneur of the Year, Public Service Award, Community Cohesion Award, Young Neighbourhood Champion, Community Group of the Year, Youth Leadership Award and the UCLAN Education Achievement Award.
Finalists will be invited to a glittering ceremony at Ewood Park in Blackburn on Saturday 26th May. For further details or to make a nomination, visit: www.asianimage.co.uk or www.thefusionawards.co.uk.
