BTWSC’s NARM Role Model Resources Launch Finally Ready

BTWSC

After a lengthy search, the NARM DVD and booklet launch on November 26 aims to show a wide range of male role models from the African British community spanning over the last century

NARM (Naming And Role Model) is a Heritage Lottery Funded project delivered by Brent-based voluntary organisation BTWSC, which highlights in a DVD and booklet a range of African British role models spanning 1907-2007 and across various disciplines and endeavours (www.btwsc.com/NARM).

The launch is an opportunity to watch the DVD screening, receive copies of the resources and to interact with some of the role models.

Whilst the project has not focused on people in the entertainment and sports fields, nor on famous people per se, there are a few well-known faces including Lord Paul Boateng, Lord Bill Morris, Sir William Atkinson, Ekow Eshun and Benjamin Zephaniah.

The free, inter-generational-focused edu-tainment event takes place Friday 26th November 2010, 6.30pm to 9.00pm (6.30pm-7.00pm registration & refreshments) at The Space, Willesden Green Library Centre, 95 High Road, Willesden Green, London NW10 2SF (Willesden Green station; buses 52, 98, 206, 260, 266, 302, 460).

Pre-booking is essential: info@btwsc.com.
