Internationally acclaimed flautist Keith Waithe travelled worldwide in search of musical masters as he collected his 90+ flutes and has recently returned from a journey to the rain forests of Ghana to reconnect with his cultural origins.
Keith is to receive a WOM@TT Best of British Award at his concert on 23 December at The Tabernacle, Powis Square London W11 2AY and said "It is overwhelming to be honoured in this way as WOM@TT works with such a wide range of excellent and high quality UK based African Caribbean and Latin musicians"
On Sunday 19th December Keith will play live and share a DV from his brilliant album ‘Gathering Echoes’ during his discussion on Shoot the Messemger with Vox Africa’s Henry Bonsu
Henry Bonsu is an incisive interviewer with a fine ear for detail with Sky, BBC and Al Jazeera credits to his name. He also writes for the Guardian and The Telegraph and is not afraid of controversy.
