Since founding her specialist company Tania-Tapel 15 years ago, Anita has gained award-winning status in the world of weddings, being responsible for some of the most spectacular Indian wedding events in the UK, India and beyond, while also contributing regularly to print, online and broadcast media outlets as an acknowledged expert.
Now, Anita has decided to make her extensive knowledge available to brides and grooms-to-be across the world – plus their families, and even industry professionals – in a personalised series of informative shows to be made available as a podcast featuring some of the leading experts from around the world.
Each themed show will be hosted by Anita, and will feature a range of guests from vendors to wedding experts, to brides and brides-to-be sharing their own experiences.
Indian weddings remain one of the most glamorous and important institutions across the world and have undergone tremendous innovations over the past decade in terms of style, presentation and location – a fact reflected by Anita’s move to complement her UK business with offices in India and the United Arab Emirates.
She says: ‘Indian weddings continue to receive massive attention around the world, and their cultural significance ensures that demand for information and new ideas is constantly increasing. And while very few have Lakshmi Mittal’s millions to spend, the aspiration for a perfect event – whatever the budget – remains just as high.’
She adds: ‘The Indian wedding remains an occasion of singular importance, and one which can be increasingly complex as some of the older traditions run into the modern aspirations of empowered youngsters. My view is that every wedding should be perfect – and that’s what I set out to encourage with the Indian Wedding Podcasts which aims to answer many questions likely to arise among those involved in weddings.’
The podcasts will be available from 1st April 2010, likely to be every Thursday and can be downloaded and listened to at a time that is convenient to the listener.
