TA Magazine Issue 3

TA Magazine Issue 3

The spanking January edition of TA magazine released with all the usual buzz surrounding a FREE publication aimed primarily at young British Asians in London.

With the magazine being aimed at a student network and also being created by students, the release of the magazine occurred on the last week of January due to the plight of dreaded January exams. However, fear not – the February issue promises to arrive on time.

The January issue of TA, also known as TeenAsia, saw sexy British Asian R&B sensation Jay Sean gracing front covers. With his comeback single ‘Ride it’ all over the media, TA managed to snag an exclusive interview. Other interviews include Jags Klimax and Jas Dhingra, both of which are prominent producers and DJs within the Asian music industry. TA hopes to launch a video podcast service of interviews on the website www.teenasia.co.uk in the very near future.

The A5 sized goody also contains top beauty, fashion, music and sports pages. What is more, the third issue included the first ever politics section of TA magazine. In this section, student writer Ali Hassan spoke of the state of Pakistan and the U.S Presidential elections in a more accessible manner. Additionally, TA had the usual celebrity gossip from both Hollywood and Bollywood, a resident agony aunt named ‘Auntyjee’ and a sizzling events page with lots to do for young Londoners. An article featured in ‘hot topics’ about Asians and contraception is also well-worth mentioning.

TA is a magazine produced by the students for the students with the aim of creating a voice that is collectively loud enough to make a noise. It is with much hard work, dedication and determination that this magazine runs – not to mention advertising.
