Rhoda Wilson Makes Black Women in Europe Power List 2011

In 2010 the Black Women in Europe™ Blog released its first Power List naming 58 women across Europe in 6 categories. The 2011 list names 35 women in 9 categories: Athletics, Entrepreneurship & Business, Law, Lifestyle, Literature, Media, Politics, Science and Social Activism. This list, presented in alphabetical order, is intended to acknowledge powerful black women in Europe and to inspire others to reach their full potential.

In 2008 The Rhoda Wilson Show moved to BEN TV (Sky Channel 184) aired weekly, had a viewership of circa 1,300,000 per show in 2010. With a wide mix of subject matter, Rhoda selects her guests with the central theme of Inspiration and motivation. The 30 minute show consists of interviews based on the lives of inspirational and growing talent across the UK. High Profile guests who have appeared on the Rhoda Wilson Show include: Evangelist Tony Allen; Reality TV star Robert Alleyne; Celebrity hair stylist Des Murray and Model agent impresario Sola Oyebade.
As well as profiling a variety of guests Rhoda Wilson has also appeared on a number of TV and radio shows including VoxAfrica, Bang Radio and Colourful Radio.
In 2009 Rhoda was one of the guests of honour at the inaugural Black Youth Achievements Awards in London; presenting key awards at this highly publicised ceremony. In 2009 Rhoda Wilson won “Best TV Presenter” at the BEFFTA Awards in London; a tremendous honour. In 2011 Rhoda was listed as one of the top 20 most inspirational Women from the African Diaspora by ADIPWE, amongst some of the world’s most esteemed creatives, entrepreneurs and professionals. At Inspirational YOU 2011; Rhoda Wilson was amongst a panel of high profile media professionals to an audience of over 150.
In 2007 Rhoda Wilson founded the African and Caribbean Women’s Achievement and Leadership Foundation, another example of the formidable nature of Rhoda’s talents. The foundation seeks to provide a platform for empowerment and engagement for Black and Ethnic Minority women across the UK.
