Asian Lite celebrates 4th Anniversary

Asian Lite, one of the leading newspapers for British-Asians, is celebrating its fourth anniversary with a special edition focussing on the theme of “Asian Entrepreneurship.”

“Asians constitute just four per cent of the population but contribute over £100 billion or about 10 per cent of the country’s economic output,” said Anasudhin Azeez, Managing Director of the newspaper. “Lakshmi Mittal, the richest person in the country according to the Sunday Times Rich List is a British-Asian. There are 20 Asian-origin business personalities in the top 100 of the Sunday Times Rich List. Some of them arrived here without a penny in the pocket and made business empires through sheer hard-work and entrepreneurship.”
“Asian Lite is paying tribute to these extra-ordinary business people with articles and profiles highlighting their success in the fourth anniversary special edition,” added Azeez. “They are the real role models for the younger generation and there are many lessons to learn from their business experience. We are also increasing the print run to 100,000 and copies will be available across the country.”
The free sheet launched in 2007, emulating the Metro model, will charge a cover price of 50 pence from May 17 onwards.
