TOBAGO HOLDINGS GROUP ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR WORLD CLASS WATERPARK AND HOTEL TO BE DEVELOPED IN POPULAR BRITISH HOLIDAY DESTINATION

Scarborough, Tobago W.I. 2 November 2009. Tobago Holdings Group announced today, their intentions to design, build and develop “Pirates Cove”, a World Class Water Park and Hotel, the is expected to be completed in 3 phases, with a projected cost of (US) 8 million dollars, to be located on the Island of Tobago W.I.

Pirates Cove Water Park will have the capacity to entertain both International hotel guests on the Island, as well as locals from Trinidad and Tobago, with many of the industry’s latest water park rides and attractions. The Park, when fully completed will offer attractions, such as Lazy Wave River, Wave Pool, and Tube and Body Slides, along with a children’s play structure, with slides, fountains, sprayers and games. The design will be built around responsible use of water resources, to minimize water consumption, water will be treated and re-cycled on-site. When completed, the Park will provide a full day of family fun, along with a food court area. The company believes the Water Park, will be one of the largest in the Caribbean, when completed, and will be marketed to vacationing families in North America and Europe .The proposed project will be overseen by a Senior development manager, based in Tobago. Further announcements will be made, when the International design team is selected, along with the proposed park and hotel combined site in Tobago The hotel will be designed in two phases. First Phase planning for 60 rooms, of which 25 will be family suite rooms, with a possible second phase of 40 additional rooms with family restaurant, if market conditions indicate a need for expansion. The company is planning a well known World Franchise affiliation for the hotel, recognized by all International visitors and travel agents world-wide.
