Devon Harris may not be the household name associated with Jamaica’s leading athletes such as Usain Bolt or Asafa Powell.

The achievements of Devon Harris and his teammates were immortalised in the Hollywood film “Cool Runnings”. He was part of Jamaica’s first ever Winter Olympic Bobsled team in 1988.

Devon was in London as part of a series of talks and signings in his current capacity as a motivational speaker and author, focused around his semi-autobiographical book Keep On Pushing.

The talks focus around the experiences of being part of Jamaica’s first Winter Olympic team and life lessons that can be applied to personal development and the world of business.

He was happy to be back in London as this is the place that Jamaica took part in its first ever Olympics back in 1948.In that year the
athlete Arthur Wint won Jamaica’s first ever gold and silver medals for track events.

2012 is also a special year for Devon and Jamaican’s around the world as it marks Jamaica’s 50th year of independence, he’s planning on celebrating it with friends,
family and his country people across the world.
