With over 250 visitors attending this vibrant and positive all day extravaganza consisted of a colourful and eclectic Market Area, café area, 2 beauty rooms, an exclusive Hair Salon parlour hosted by Adornment365, seminars and talks given by influential key note speakers the day enjoyed highly positive feedback.
With opening comments from our primary sponsor Stephen Mwale of Daniel & Co Accountants the event started off enthusiastically. Our Official Photographer -Angus Dike was at hand to take images of the event throughout the day; ensuring that every moment was captured with flair.
All our Key Note Speakers were superb – Des O’Connor, Sonia Brown, Sophia Bailey, Angie Brice, Noreen Mak’Osewe, Bukky Odusote, Kandace Chimbiri, Michaelia Dawes, Lorraine Downie and Lisa Newton enriched the day with their knowledge and know how on a range of key topics. Our charities of the year – Southall Black Sisters & The Down Syndrome Association of Nigeria – were represented on the day offering further information on the important work that they do.
With a diverse business background the self-proclaimed Dream Team were able to organise this superb event with so much positivity and grace that people are already asking when the next event will be!
Some of the feedback on the date:
Thank you for what was a most inspiring and enlightening event on Saturday, 15/08/09. The Event Programmes were well organised apart from one of the speakers running over the time slot in the morning. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to hear the other Speakers (too busy speaking to the companies in the market area) on all their arts, crafts, fashion beauty and jewellery etc. Looking forward to next year. Well done!! YBW Team. JC
Just to say congratulations on a very well organised and well received event today. I thoroughly enjoyed myself; great networking opportunity! You should all give yourself a well deserved pat on the back. Please keep up the good work; keep me informed of anything else you do. See you again next yea. N
I thought the day was truly inspiring, black businesses were able to show case their services/products. It showed me that there is chance for me to operate a business. The atmosphere was really great and I was glad I was part of it. Well done organisers, you did well. JB
The next “You’re Beautiful, Woman!” event will be held in 2010 in London once again.
