The 7th annual Scottish Curry Awards announce their shortlisted curry contenders

After months of fierce competition, nominations for this year’s Scottish Curry Awards have now closed, and with well over 9000 nominations coming in from all over Scotland, the race to be crowned at this year’s awards ceremony guarantees to be an extremely tight contest.

The seventh Scottish Curry Awards will take place at the Thistle Hotel, Glasgow on the evening of 28th April, it is set to be a fantastic evening. Judges will now visit shortlisted Restaurants and takeaways from all over Scotland who are battling it out to make the best curry in the country.

Yasmin Mahmood, Operations Director for event organisers Oceanic Consulting expressed: “The awards have grown from strength to strength every year, as we see an increase of nominations for those hidden gems as well as the more well known curry houses. All the finalists are truly deserving and we wish everyone the best of luck.”

So while the Curry King or Queen Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award stay under wraps until the evening itself, the shortlisted nominees for this year’s Scottish Curry Awards are:
