Tamarai launches new Dinner Menu

Manish Mehrotra, Head Chef of sumptuous Pan Asian restaurant, Tamarai, has travelled around the Far East to create an exciting new menu of Pan Asian small plates. The results comprise a newly launched, sumptuous nine-course Chef’s Tasting Menu, presenting a tempting array of Small Plates which allow guests on a table to share and savour a myriad of tastes.

The newly launched menu presents mouth-watering dishes such as Soft Shell Crab, Flavour Roast Coconut Masala Mayo and Vegetable and Silken Tofu Dumplings with Pepper and Coriander. Large plates feature gastronomic innovations like Pan Seared Quail, Pearl Onion and Chinese Wine; Duke of Berkshire Pork Belly, Pork Cracklings with Hoisin Onion Sauce; Dry Fried Scottish Beef, Green Beans with Chilli XO Sauce; and Braised Venison Shank, Malay Curry and Astina Cress. Tempting dessert combinations such as Basmati, Jaggery, Pandana Leaf Payasam with Cornish Clotted Cream provide the final accolade.

Tamarai is an elegant, 110-seat restaurant, renowned for its pan Asian cuisine which follows the Latin Routes from Chettinad in South India to Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and China.

Like the Lotus flower that it is named after, Tamarai metamorphoses from a perfect stop for delicious and innovative cocktails after work to a late night bar. Dinner from 5.30pm features Chef Manish Mehrotra’s incredible Pan Asian Menu coupled with Charles Metcalfe’s selection of award winning wines, making it an unforgettable evening. Post 11.30pm, the lights dim as the bar and music hold sway and Tamarai’s resident video jockey bewitches clientele with his sassy audio-visuals into the early hours of the morning.

Reservations at Tamarai are recommended. Diners are offered complimentary parking for up to three hours at NCP Drury Lane.
