Regent Street Welcomes Alfresco Dining

Regent Street Welcomes Alfresco Dining

The Alfresco season has begun in Heddon Street, The Regent Street food quarter. Just off Regent Street is a hidden oasis with a quaint cobbled street that is home to some of best restaurants in the West end. When the sun is out you feel like you could be in the Mediterranean or within a few steps you can cross to Morocco or the French Riviera.

Choose from a wide variety of restaurants offering different styles of cuisine.

Zinc Bar and Grill serves delicious grills, fresh seafood and salads on their terrace. Enjoy Moroccan cuisine at celebrity favourite, Momo sit outside in the Bedouin style tent and lounge on their soft scatter cushions. Indulge in the Momo special cocktail a fusion of Vodka and fresh mint or for the non alcoholic take tea at the Mo Tearoom.

French restaurant Gabrielle’s serves fantastic steaks or frogs legs accompanied with a great wine list. Sit outside on their terrace with comfortable chairs under the large palm trees. Also new to Heddon Street is The Living Room for salubrious wining and dining. During the summer months the front of this restaurant is open so relax with a drink on leather sofas or upstairs in more intimate seating.

To cool off the Absolut IceBar London is akin to Sweden’s infamous IceHotel and the perfect place to chill out after a hard days shopping on Regent Street. The bar, furniture and glasses are all made of ice. Leave the Ice bar and enter Below Zero where you can warm up in front of the plasma screens showing roaring fires.

When the sun goes down there are many other choices.

A little piece of Spain will come to Heddon Street on 24 and 31 August, diners will be able to watch Flamenco dancing and then learn the steps.

The whole of Regent Street will really hot up on 3 September as this year’s Regent Street Festival theme is ‘A Walk Through Spain’ sponsored by the Spanish Tourist Office.
