Former Marks & Spencer Lingerie Buyer Announces Major UK Expansion For Indian Restaurant Chain.

Leading Indian restaurant chain Tiffinbites has announced a major nationwide expansion as it launches a rapid franchising programme to make it the largest Indian restaurant franchise in the UK.

The programme, which will be unveiled at the British & International Franchise Exhibition at Olympia, London, on 4 – 5 April, is set to initiate a nationwide roll out of 50 new restaurants by the end of 2009. Working in conjunction with franchising specialists, The Franchise Company, Tiffinbites has created an attractive investment opportunity for individuals seeking the chance to develop a new business as part of a leading brand.

CEO and Founder of Tiffinbites, Jamal Hirani, 40, will give successful franchisees the opportunity to open and run their own Tiffinbites restaurant, the concept for which is a modern take on Indian dining – a unique and authentic eating experience with a contemporary approach to Indian cuisine. The franchise package provides new franchisees with everything needed to successfully set up and run a Tiffinbites franchise, including:
• Site identification and acquisition support
• Restaurant development services
• Staff recruitment assistance
• Full operations manuals (pre and post opening)
• Comprehensive induction training programme
• Business support programme
• Launch marketing campaign and promotional programme
• Ongoing central marketing and PR support
• Licensed use of the Tiffinbites brand and intellectual property

Once a lingerie buyer for Marks and Spencer, Jamal has ditched the bras in favour of biryani saying: “We’re looking to build a franchise network that is successful in the long-term. It’s important to us to find franchisees who we can enjoy working closely with, and who we believe can run a successful Tiffinbites restaurant.

“Indian cuisine is firmly established as the UK’s favourite food, and opening an Indian restaurant now is a great way to spice up your profit potential and help take the chill out of the recession.”

In 2007 Tiffinbites appointed its first international franchisee in Dubai to cover the Middle East, and in addition to its UK expansion, is also looking for master franchisees to help take Tiffinbites to other countries.

Jamal added: “2008 is going to be a really exciting year for Tiffinbites. We’re looking forward to welcoming our first UK franchisees on board and taking our high quality authentic Indian food across the UK and internationally. By joining our team, franchisees can look forward to becoming part of a truly global brand.”
