Finalists announced for the 2013 English Curry Awards

Finalists announced for the 2013 English Curry Awards

After months of fierce competition, nominations for this year’s English Curry Awards have now closed, and with well over 7000 nominations coming in from all over England the race to be crowned at this year’s awards ceremony guarantees to be an extremely tight contest.

The third annual English Curry Awards will take place at Salford City Stadium on the 2nd September; it is set to be a fantastic evening. The judges will now visit these shortlisted Restaurants and takeaways from all over England whilst they battle it out to make the best curry in the country.

Given England’s long-lasting love affair with curry over the centuries, it only right that we join together to celebrate the thriving industry which provides us with so much culinary pleasure.

And that is precisely what the English Curry Awards aim to do!

The glittering ceremony will highlight the value of all those who work tirelessly to provide us with the perfect dish. In addition we want to recognise those individuals who consume it with great passion.

Yasmin Mahmood, Operations Director for event organiser Oceanic Consulting said: “This year we have added a few categories to spice things up and received a great response to these new editions, as thousands of nominations flooded in, in support of the public’s favourite. We wish all the finalists the best of luck and I am sure it will be fantastic evening.”
So while The Curry King or Queen Award and The Lifetime Achievement Award stay under wraps until the night itself, the shortlisted nominees for this year’s The English Curry Awards are:
