The day before the event Mr. Vivek Agarwal, CEO of Strand of Silk, led a discussion in Bocconi University titled “Fashion Loves Internet”.
The Bocconi Alumni Association “Bocconi students for Fashion” organised the talk that focused on running a successful online fashion business. Speakers highlighted their experiences and the process managing problems related to creating and managing a business that sells exclusively using the internet as a medium. Over 100 students studying for the Bachelor and Master of Science from various study streams attended the talk. An animated discussion about the challenges faced by internet businesses followed the formal talk.
“Taxi Blues” was the perfect setting for the event, since it is the center of young life in the university area of the town. It is a meeting place for Bocconi students, professors, and business people, it is characterised by an original modern architecture, which puts together different contrasting styles in a unique way. This decor was perfect to be embellished by the Strand of Silk collection comprised of casual and elegant dresses and detailed accessories. The event was the climax following 2 days of a windows display by Strand of Silk at Taxi Blues.
The evening was planned accordingly the typical Italian happy hour formula, in which guests enjoyed drinks and an exquisite buffet. Collections displayed included styles from Indian Designers including Myoho, Raakesh Agarvwal, Satya Suman, Siddartha Tytler, Sougat Paul and VJ Balhara. The trendy accessories included styles by Ambar Paridi Sahai, Meera Mahadevia and Sannam Chopra.
