The UBS Soundscapes: Eclectica Series, which presents audiences with the widest range of musical styles, is delighted to welcome the London-based Israeli singer Mor Karbasi, one of the great young divas of the global music scene. She will bring her mix of flamenco with North African influences to her concert at LSO St Luke’s on October 22. Her programme will include Ladino music, the songs that survive from the late 15th century, when the Jewish and Muslim communities in Spain were expelled by the Christians. Her voice is remarkable, mixing spine-tingling delicacy with power and control.
She will be accompanied by Joe Taylor on guitars, Andres Ticino percussion, Jorge Bravo Spanish guitar and Fred Thomas bass and piano.
UBS Soundscapes: Eclectica at LSO St Luke’s, the UBS and LSO Music Education Centre, offers audiences the chance to experience the very best of all musical styles from all over the world.
