Hot-off-the-heels of a sold out UK headline tour and a main support slot on Sam Smith’s arena tour, star-in-the-making Kwabs has announced details of his next single – Fight For Love is set for release on 28 June ahead of his sold out show at Somerset House on 17 July.
With its radio debut moments ago on MistaJam, Fight For Love is another perfect example of Kwabs’ musicianship and the breadth of his eagerly anticipated debut album, Love + War, which is set for release on 11 September through Atlantic Records.
“I’m happy that people are going to get to hear ‘Fight for Love’ at last. This track has definitely got some funk to it….It’s my dance-the-tears-away anthem. We all need some of those!” commented Kwabs.
Born in Ghana and raised in Camberwell, 25-year-old Kwabs draws inspiration from his surroundings as well as his collaborators, like SOHN and Dave Okumu. He released 3 EPs Pray For Love, Wrong Or Right and Walk to critical acclaim and has knocked up over 57 million views on YouTube. Furthermore Walk has had over 35 million Spotify streams worldwide and is currently on over half a million track equivalent sales.
Kwabs has cemented himself as one of the most electrifying, exciting and dynamic live acts around and as well as his Somerset House date on 17 July, he’s going to be touring all over the world with festival appearances at the likes of Roskilde, Montreaux Jazz, Latitude Festival and Reading & Leeds Festivals, plus many more!
