Classical Music Pioneer brings his unique brand of music to the masses in his Cuban Guitar Series Tour

Critically acclaimed guitarist Ahmed Dickinson Cardenas brings his unique fusion of traditional classical music and up-tempo jazz rhythms, to the masses in his eagerly anticipated Cuban Guitar Series Tour. Opening on the 21st September at The Camden Forge, Dickinson Cardenas continues to enthral audiences the world over with his technical brilliance.

The Havana born artist will perform a series of solo performances and master classes that will see him journey through Europe, Canada and the US. The performances, called the Cuban Guitar Series, will be packed with premieres, featuring works from master Cuban composers such as Leo Brouwer, "Latin Grammy" winner Yalil Guerra, Eduardo Martín, Luis Manuel Molina and Jose Antonio Rojas.

Following his recent performance with world-renowned Royal Ballet’s Principal Guest Artist Carlos Acosta at the Royal Opera House, Dickinson Cardenas continues to make waves on the classical music scene. He has the ability to take classical music and seamlessly blend with the avant-garde to reach a new audience. Acknowledging his undeniable talent from an early age, Dickinson Cardenas has worked tirelessly to continue to hone his craft, performing at an array of international festivals in addition to numerous solo and collaborative projects with some of the most respected names in the industry in an effort to bring his unique take on classical music to the masses.

A graduate of the Superior Institute of Art, the ex-rank Soldier has taken part in master classes with musical greats such as Leo Brouwer, John Williams and Eduardo Martin, to name but a few. For almost a decade he had the privilege of working closely with the late Cuban guitar composer Jose Antonio Rojas. He has also successfully worked on collaborative projects, which have resulted in the release of four more albums since 2008, culminating in one of his most successful recordings to date, “Havana Suite” in 2011.

Ahmed Dickinson Cardenas has recently launched an online store, which is dedicated to promoting recordings and compositions of great music from Cuba.
