Bollywood Brain Drain Events are proud to present ‘BOMBAY FUNKADELIC’ a unique 70s Bollywood and Blaxploitation inspired club night in the heart of central London.
Experience an evening of movies and music at Bar Saaqi, London’s first Indian Tapas & Cocktail Bar in the heart of Soho.
Located a stones throw away from Oxford Street, the trendy two storey bar and restaurant is a favourite with London’s young professionals, who favour its relaxed atmosphere and interesting menu of cocktails and cuisine for post work and weekend entertaining.
In addition to the hardcore British Asian and European clientele who regularly attend her Bollywood-themed club, karaoke and quiz night events, Bombay Funkadelic producer, Jaspreet Pandohar, hopes the night’s retro theme will attract a new range of eclectic movie and music lovers. A place where Sholay meets Shaft and Pakeezah flirts with Pulp Fiction… where funky masala beats mingle with jungle boogie and lazy lounge music.. where soaring strings, drifting flutes and funky drum breaks fuse with groovy basslines and wah-wah guitars.
Spinning the tunes will be London’s well-known DJ Danny, whose passion for Bollywood and Blaxploitation movie soundtracks will create a brand new sound for revellers. Mixing sitars and tablas with jazz, 70s soul and Bollywood soundtracks, his unique blend of eastern and western musical styles will be the best you’ve ever had the pleasure of wrapping our ears round.
Also on offer on the night will be specially created range of Bollywood cocktails, such as The Burning Train and Don’s Delight. Or why not sip on a Superbad Slinger and Cool Coffy? The exceptional Bombay Funkadelic Menu (choose any Two Tapas plus a soft drink or glass of house wine for £10!!!) is also worth a try.
So what are you waiting for? Put on your psychedelic kurtas, white flairs, wing collar shirts and medallions and boogie to the sounds of Bombay Funkadelic on Saturday 4th November.
Pimps, dons, vamps, bad boys, gangsters, divas, hustlers & voluptuous beauties welcome!
