Asian Music Circuit’s Winter School 2011

Asian Music Circuit

Every year, the Asian Music Circuit invites internationally renowned artists to run short courses in Indian music, open to anyone interested in singing or Indian culture.

This year, Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar will be giving khyal (North Indian classical singing) classes for vocalists, and Pt. Suresh Talwalkar will be leading a tabla (drum) course for percussionists. Whatever standard they may be, both first-timers and those experienced in Indian music are welcome at the three four-hour sessions, which guarantee inspiring music making in a warm, friendly environment.

The courses are open to all levels and will take place over three days from 4.00pm – 8.00pm. Places are still available for £75 (£55 conc.) – contact Dominika Sulinska at or 020 8742 9911.
