bfm Film Festival Celebrates Black Independent Film

The bfmiff2015 returns to London after a 4 year absence showcasing a range of films, the festival is the longest running event supporting black independent cinema in the UK.

Founded by Filmmaker Menelik Shabbaz in 1999, this year the festival runs from Thursday 2nd July- Sunday 5th July. The 4 day event will show over 45 films which includes shorts, features and documentaries.
Showing films from Africa, Caribbean, South America and USA.

The festival opens with Looking for Love a film by Menelik Shabbaz.

Rocksy, a small-time hustler, journeys into chaos to steal a car while his lady friend Rosie hangs a watercolour painting in their modest room and dreams of peace. The fight to survive their broken dreams and aspirations forces them to commit a crime that changes their lives forever.
