Yama: God of Death and Rebirth

Yama: God of Death and Rebirth

As dusk falls on Halloween, story-teller Seema Anand recounts the chilling tale of the Hindu god Yama, the dark and dispassionate god of Death and Rebirth, who relentlessly pursues all living creatures in collection of his debt, his noose tightening around the souls of men. Only on payment of one’s debts can one enter the land beyond where the soul may rest. Come and learn the fate of Yuva, the childless King of Ilavrit , who has created life outside of his body as men do and created life inside his body as women do; Somavat, who surrenders his genitals to become a wife; and Ileshwara, a god on full moon nights but a goddess with the coming of the new moon.

Suitable for adults and children aged over 10. Ticket price includes a drink and Halloween snacks.
