Three Way - Yusra Warsama, RT and Malika Booker (Theatre) BASS 09 Festival

A theatre production consisting of spoken word and an African message… Playing Wed 24th and 25th June 09 at Repertory Theatre in Bham.

Meet Mike, Claudine and Fadumo – three Black characters in the fallout of an attack on a young white immigrant. Told through their personal stories and poetic conversation, Three Way is an intricate snapshot of racial politics in a community both bound and divided by difference. Written and performed by Manchester-based spoken word artist Yusra Warsama, with Birmingham Grime boy RT and London’s poetry queen Malika Booker. Directed by Dan Barnard. Dramtaurgy by Chris Thorpe. Three Way is a work in progress development as part of Incubate, a pioneering Arts Council funded scheme in partnership with Apples & Snakes, BAC, The REP, and Contact for UK spoken word artists.
