The Liverpool International ( Brouhaha) Carnival - 4th August

The Brouhaha International Festival (16th July – 5th August 2007)is yet again tipped to be a raging success, as the three week programme of events encompasses a diverse multicultural ensemble of over 200 artists and performers from around the world

Live shows, carnival performances, local talents and world renowned entertainers come together for this international celebration representing global talent. Running from July 16th to August 5th with a live show launch at the Philharmonic Hall on July 20th, there is sure to be something for everybody.

The highlight of the festival takes place on August 4th, as the Liverpool International Carnival hits the streets of Liverpool in the form of a parade that will begin in the city centre (Myrtle Street) and travel through the streets of Liverpool right through to Princes Park, in the heart of Toxteth. As the carnival reaches its final destination, the party will continue on four main stages brimming with musical performances, dancing and a whole host of other international and local talents.

Not only this, but workshops will be set up for children, and international cuisine will be available from food stalls so crowds get a real feel for a range of different cultures. Last year Brouhaha saw reggae marvel Dawn Penn take to the stage to entertain the crowds with awe-inspiring music, and this year is set to be just as triumphant as exclusive guest Aswad will be performing.
