Caste Away Arts presents:

The Drum presents a debut production by Caste Away Arts – The Fifth Cup on Thu 13 Dec at 7.30PM. Based on true life experiences and is a poignant insight into the caste discrimination within the British-Asian community viewed through the eyes of a young boy; the tale of Amrit Singh, who along with his family moves to a new city to make a fresh start. Unfortunately Amrit is unaware of the real reasons behind this sudden move until a religious education lesson opens his eyes. . .

Caste Away Arts are a new Midland’s based theatre company with a campaign to educate people about issues that have been brushed under the carpet. Their aim is to tell the stories of those that have been ‘caste away’ from society because of their caste, race, religion or circumstances, and they promise to tell it like it is.

Written by Rena Dipti Annobil and Reena Bhatoa, directed in association with Harvinder Sohal and featuring an incredible cast and moving scenes, don’t miss it!
