The Asia House Festival of Asian Literature

The Asia House Festival of Asian Literature celebrates the newest and best writing on Asia in a series of talks and discussions. Focusing on Asian and non-Asian authors writing about Asia, the programme covers a broad spectrum of fiction and non-fiction from a selection of Asian countries.

Political turmoil in Pakistan and social unrest within the Pakistani communities of Britain have led young Pakistanis to be unsure of their cultural identity. The Man Booker short-listed author of The Reluctant Fundamentalist and the author of the new novel A Case of Exploding Mangoes discuss how they view their British Pakistani cultural identity and its influence on their work and that of other Pakistani writers.
