Following sell out shows at The Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA), Africa’s biggest Arts Festival, Jon Bonfiglio and Giles Ramsay present their new play TERRITORY at artsdepot. Premiered in April 2006 at The National Gallery of Zimbabwe and produced in collaboration with local actors Victor Mavedzenge and Michael Kudakwashe, TERRITORY continues Jon Bonfiglio and Giles Ramsay’s relationship with grass-roots artists in troubled and developing countries such as Nepal, Colombia and Montserrat.
Two men meet in a gallery after years apart. Their conversation triggers boyhood flashbacks. Time distorts memories and violence looms. This unusual promenade performance is set against the backdrop of artsdepot’s Apthorp Gallery.
