Hosted once again by Lord Sebastian Coe, The Asian Awards will be a star-studded night, with confirmed A-listers including: Sir Ben Kingsley, Beverley Knight, Ivanka Trump, Kamui Kobayashi, James Caan, Gok Wan, Nancy Delallio, Colin Jackson, Dame Judy Dench and Linda Lee, Bruce Lee’s wife.
Paul Sagoo, founder of The Asian Awards, says: “Our goal is to celebrate the highest calibre of individuals from the Asian community across all walks of life. The past two events have been spectacular and this year, we will take it a notch higher.
Sagoo adds: “This geographical expansion means that The Asian Awards can now truly live up to its name and celebrate global Asian achievement on an even grander scale. We had always planned to recognise the achievements from the global Asian community so this is an exciting time for us.”
Winners this year, include Oscar-winning actor Sir Ben Kingsley, who is picking up this year’s Fellowship Award for his outstanding contribution to entertainment, and global icon Bruce Lee, who is being recognised with a Founders Award, in the 40th anniversary of his death. His wife, Linda Lee is flying especially to receive the accolade.
The Asian Awards is one of the most coveted tickets in London. The combined wealth of the room on the night has just passed £30 billion, making it one of the wealthiest gatherings in the country and an excellent opportunity to mingle with the cream of the crop.
The Asian Awards, in Partnership with UK Sotheby’s International Realty, will be held on April 16th 2013 at London’s Grosvenor House.
In 2010 and 2011, the Asian Awards honoured some of Sachin Tendulkar and Muttiah Muralitharan to legendary artistes, Asha Bhosle, Freddie Mercury (posthumously), Amitabh Bachchan, Jay Sean and AR Rahman to powerful business magnates Ratan Tata, Vijay Mallya and Dr KP Singh, and leaders in technology such as Google’s Amit Singhal.
