WITH THE PREMIERE OF HIS COMEDY SHOW

‘WALKING ON BROKEN DAS’ (WOBD)

WOBD features ‘one of Delhi’s Top Ten Dream Men’ and is a hysterical take on Indian trends, morality

UK audiences are in for an Indian treat at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year with the brilliant, hilarious and manic new show ‘WALKING ON BROKEN DAS’ (WOBD) starring Vir Das, showcasing from the Monday 12 – Tuesday 20 August at City Edinburgh Nightclub. After playing to sell-out crowds around India and successfully touring Asia, stand up comedian and actor VIR DAS is one of India’s best loved comics and brings his satirical comedy special to our shores. Not for the easily offended, Das finds the funny in mundane everyday tasks like brushing your teeth, combing your hair and longing to become a dirty old man. Vir’s manic energy on stage is infectious and his razor-sharp observations on things you don’t notice (but should) will have you laughing in fits.

The best of Indian media rave about him –

Indian Headlines say he’s: ‘a comedian to watch out for’ (The Indian Express), ‘simply hysterical’ (Hindustan Times) ‘The Funniest Kid in India’ (Pioneer) ‘India’s only true comic’ (Verve). The Indian Express has dubbed him ‘India’s Answer to Jay Leno’ and don’t swoon ladies but the Delhi Times has even dubbed him ‘one of Delhi’s Top Ten Dream Men’.

Vir Saran Das studied acting at Knox College where he received a Bachelor’s in Economics and Theatre specialising in performance.
