Get down to the Carling Academy on July 26th 2007 for Hip Hop Nation and see teams from all over the globe celebrate Hip Hop

both contemporary and rooted Hip Hop and street dance, both local and international. Palestine, Costa Rica, Reunion Island and the UK are just a handful of countries taking part in this celebration of Hip Hop music and all that it aims to represent.

La Zona from Costa Rica are a group that fuse Hip Hop and break-dancing in order to display a sense of travel through dancing, expressing the journey of Hip Hop. Reunion Island are represented by Kozman Ti Dalon, an experimental performer who recognises the importance of acknowledging the journey of the East African slaves using his aggressive dancing and range of diverse instrumental equipment.

From Martinique, MD Company return to Liverpool to recreate a story of love through the medium of dance. Holding a significant place in the world of Hip Hop due to their years of performing, MD Company is a group not to be missed.

Other performances at Hip Hop Nation will include Urbeatz High-Def Showcase and Young Kof from Liverpool, Roots and Routes from Germany and the Academy of Show Arts from Palestine.

Starting at 9pm in the Carling Academy (the old L2), this event promises to deliver fantastic entertainment filled with undertones of more prominent world issues.
