The OakMobile, a mini theatrical experience, is home to the enchanting Story Collector who encourages people to celebrate their favourite places. The response to date has been fantastic and thousands of children and adults have stepped inside the OakMobile’s quirky metal pod over the summer. Children have compared the experience to an “oak spaceship of stories” whilst a parent said that it was a “multi-sensory experience.”
Once the public step outside the OakMobile, they are given a Magic Ticket which is a free entry pass to a local National Trust place. The Magic Ticket has been very popular with the public and is a great opportunity for families to experience a fun day out whilst discovering beautiful and interesting places close to the city.
On Saturday 16 November the OakMobile will travel to Ward End Park, opening its doors to the public between 10am and 3pm when they can meet the Story Collector as well as receive a Magic Ticket. There will also be lots of winter themed, fun activities for children to get involved with. Visitors will also have the opportunity to find out more about the National Trust from the friendly staff and volunteers.
This will be the last chance to experience this not-to-be missed FREE family event this year.
Catch the OakMobile on Saturday 16 November, 10am – 3pm, Ward End Park, B8 (Ward End Park Road entrance).
