Angie Le Mar returns with the long-awaited ‘Forty’
They say life begins at 40, and 40 is the new 30… well we’ll see!
Five women meet for the first time in 25 years to celebrate Carol’s 40th birthday. However, what starts out as an entertaining reunion quickly turns into a night of revelations as issues from the past quickly resurface. The friends arrive with great expectations of each other, but how will they live up to them it? Is the night going to be a complete disaster for Carol?
Forty finds Angie returning back to the stage where she belongs and heading a strong line up of some of Britain’s finest actresses.
Orlessa Altass (Eastenders, SouthWestNine, Emmerdale, Doctors, Tube Tales, Eastenders, Bad Girls, Stereo -Tricycle Theatre) playing Carol,
Ellen O’ Grady (Doctors, Goodnight Sweetheart, Bad Girls – The Musical, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe – West Yorks Playhouse) playing Mandy,
Carol Moses (Tiata Delights – Almeida/The Maid – Oval House) playing Jennifer,
Catherine Hammond (Tell Tara New Writers Festival, The Amen Corner – Bristol Old Vic, The Maintenance Man – Canal Café Theatre, A Slice Of Saturday Night – Bloomsbury Theatre) playing Joyce, and last but by no means least
And of course Angie Le Mar, who takes the role of Sandra.
In the past year, Angie has been busy opening her stage school, The Angie Le Mar School of Expression. Later this year she will release a new book called Why My Breasts Hurt, and plans to return to stand-up with a show called Blackout.
