African/African Caribbean Actors Wanted For Play Dealing With Identity

TAOBQ (African Or Black Question (TAOBQ) is a British-based campaign focused on African history and identity, and requires London-based African/African Caribbean actors & actresses for a play exploring identity issues.

TAOBQ has organised a documentary, conference, presentations and workshops on African identity.

I’m keen to produce a play cum Q&A as the next format through which to explore the issues.

Two actors and three actresses playing London-based African and African Caribbean characters are required for a play entitled ‘As Long As You’re Of African Heritage…’

I can not put together actors piece-meal, and would prefer either an individual bringing together, or a group of actors to come together, to play the five roles.

Upon getting five interested actors – a draft copy of play can be emailed for perusal – I will arrange rehearsal and one pilot performance before a small audience, with post-performance Q&A being an integral part. An all-inclusive fee of £100 per actor is offered.

Performance will be videoed with the aim of attracting funding, or a production company, to stage play professionally.
