BBC teams up with RTK to host a debate on Kosovo


BBC Albanian and BBC Serbian have teamed up with Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK) to host Auditorium - Question Time, a debate discussing key issues concerning communities living in Kosovo. BBC presenter, Aleksandėr Furxhi, will record the debates in the city of Mitrovica with a distinguished panel of guests. The debate will broadcast on television in Kosovo through RTK and through BBC Albanian and BBC Serbian programmes.
RTK will broadcast Auditorium – Question Time on Wednesday 15 November at 20.10 local time. The programme will also broadcast in Albania on Wednesday 15 November on Top Channel TV at 20:45 local time. Listeners to BBC Albanian's morning news and current affairs programme BBC Sot (BBC Today) can hear the broadcast of the debate on Thursday 16 November at 08.00 local time.

Joining Aleksandėr Furxhi on the debate panel will be: The UN Administrator in Mitrovica, Mr. Gerard Galluci; Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Lutfi Haziri; Head of Serbian List for Kosovo and Metohija, Mr Oliver Ivanovic; former prime minister and opposition MP, Mr Bajram Rexhepi; and representative of Bosnian community and Head of Communities Committee, Ms Sadije Nikshic.

The Head of BBC Albanian, Julia Goga-Cooke said: "We are thrilled to be working with RTK to host a debate from the heart of Mitrovica in Kosovo. We look forward to discussing issues central to the lives of our listeners."
