UK’s first TV channel dedicated to British Asians

Brit Asia TV are very proud to present UK’s first and only dedicated Asian television channel for the British Asian population. Brit Asia TV is an entertainment channel aimed at providing predominantly UK based programming.
Brit Asia TV will feature daily shows, music, latest entertainment news, entertaining chat shows, drama serials, reality TV shows and much, much more. The channel dedicated to British Asians will broadcast on SKY and will be constantly FREE to air to the Asian community across the UK.

This unique television channel is determined to put its UK British Asian audience first by giving them the television content that they want to see with original and exclusive shows. All material on the channel is relevant and focused on Asian lives in Britain.

Brit Asia TV will be focusing on shows that not only make great viewing but also give the audience the opportunity to get involved. Shows already receiving massive public interest include “desi’s have talent” (the biggest Asian talent show that the UK has ever seen), “star talk” (A List celebrity interviews), “shabnam goes nuts” (ex Big Brother Contestant/T.V. presenter hosts very lively and entertaining reality TV show).

Jaz Bal, director of Brit Asia TV, comments: “This is a unique and highly entertaining television channel that will plug the gap for quality programming by British Asians for British Asians. The response even before our launch has been overwhelming.”

The Asian community represent an important fabric of British society. Brit Asia TV will aim to broadcast and promote Asian culture amongst British Asians both in the UK and across Europe.

This free-to-view channel will launch 7th April 2008 on channel 836 to Sky viewers across the country.
