Guaranteed Winter Sunshine in Mauritius at the Beau Rivage

Images Video Audio
On the eastern coast of Mauritius, surrounded by the silken white sands of the beautiful Belle Mare beach, sits Beau Rivage, an idyllic five-star tropical hideaway. Overlooking the calm, azure waters of a coral lagoon, Beau Rivage offers unparalleled levels of comfort, service and hospitality, bringing together all the elements of Mauritius’ diverse and colourful heritage under one roof.
Guests have a variety of room types to choose from – with 41 Superior rooms, 121 Junior Suites (which have just been entirely refurbished), 5 honeymoon Suites, 4 lagoon Suites and 2 Senior Suites. The exclusive Maharajah Suite is ideal for a couple looking for a romantic retreat with its luxury interior and private solarium. Rooms are modern and well equipped with internet access, air conditioning, personal safe, multimedia TV system and balconies that have great views of the sea and surrounding gardens. Suites come equipped with a private hot tub, DVD player and CD player. In November 2006, a butler service will be introduced to offer guests even more from their stay at Beau Rivage.

With so many facilities on offer, it’s possible to fill the warm sunny days at Beau Rivage with action-packed fun or simply lying back and relax. Soak up the sun by the stunning pool, which overlooks the lagoon, or curl up with a book under a thatched umbrella on the long white sandy beach. Splash around with the little ones in the dedicated kids’ pool or swim and snorkel in the calm, sheltered waters of the lagoon. Complimentary watersports include windsurfing, kayaking, water-skiing and pedal boats. For a small fee, scuba diving, powerboat tours, kite surfing and big game fishing are also available.

Back on dry land, guests can work out in the gym, enjoy a round of mini-golf or play beach volleyball, table tennis, bocci ball, darts or tennis on the floodlit courts – all of which are available free of charge. Mountain bikes, pool tables and electronic games can also be hired.

Those looking to unwind should look no further than the Aphrodite Spa, with its full range of indulgent treatments, Jacuzzi, sauna, plunge pool, hammam, hydrotherapy room, massage rooms and beauty salon – perfect for souls in need of pampering.

When it comes to dining, guests are truly spoiled for choice. Beau Rivage prides itself on offering a gastronomic experience worthy of the finest restaurants, artfully blending exotic ingredients from foreign shores with local specialities under the guidance of a discerning Executive Chef. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of Mauritian cuisines at Rive Gauche, the hotels main restaurant which is open daily for breakfast and dinner. Le Méditerranée situated on the beach offers delicious and light Mediterranean-style lunches and dinners. Indouchine, meanwhile, reflects Mauritius’ multiculturalism with its mouthwatering variety of Indian, Chinese and French cuisines. The refined seafood restaurant Le Langoustier, with its beautiful views of the lagoon and swimming pool, provides the perfect setting for couples wishing to enjoy a romantic meal and is particularly popular on Thursdays and Sundays, when a four-course lobster extravaganza is served.

For those looking to dance the hot tropical nights away Club Savanne is Beau Rivage’s African-themed piano bar. As the jazz gets underway, relax with a cocktail and a Cuban cigar and enjoy the beat.

With a new General Manager – Regis Catoire – at the helm, Beau Rivage is poised to become the flagship hotel in the Naiade Resorts collection, which includes Legends, Le Tropical, Merville Beach and Ile des Deux Cocos in Mauritius and Desroches Island Resort in the Seychelles and have become renowned for their high levels of Mauritian hospitality.
