The “27TH JULY 08 – Event of Excellence” will promote a harmonious vision of Islam in Scotland, on moving forward with its talents, its educational aspirations and sharing its vision of balance without compromise. The day is designed to; Entertain, Inspire, Motivate, and Showcase the talent of Scottish Muslim Youth. The day will be filled with inspiring speeches, performances from leading Nasheed (Islamic orientated songs) artists and huge networking opportunities for everyone with 2,000 attendees from all walks of life. In addition Awards will be presented in the fields of Business, Personal Achievement and lifetime achievements to honour and recognise the positive role models in the community. “The five years since the inception of the Al-Khair Foundation have seen the organisation realise numerous tangible positive impacts in both Britain and further a field. The earthquake construction project has recently been completed a year before schedule – with the vast majority of the funding coming from Scotland. The past few years have been extraordinary – both in terms of the Al-Khair Foundations achievements and more recently for me personally. “I have been with the Foundation for the past two years – an experience that has had a profound positive impact on my life; in and outwit the workplace the changes the Foundation has inspired and the non-material rewards gained have truly transformed my life for the better. “I would like to thank Glasgow and Scotland as a whole for their donations which have made the Al-Khair Foundation’s accomplishments possible.
