The actress and icon, renowned for her unparalleled dance skills, will be joining the UK leg of The Unforgettable Tour’s, where she will be joining fellow industry heavyweights, Amitabh, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta and Riteish Deshmukh in the show of a lifetime. The concert is also the first Bollywood event to take place at the London O2 Arena. As The Unforgettable Tour visits eight cities across the globe, it welcomes on stage a guest performer and icon of Indian cinema who shares a strong affiliation with the particular country it is visiting. After being crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2007 in the UK, Shilpa Shetty has gone on to become a respected ambassador for culture and diversity in the UK – a country she feels deeply connected with. She was also recently awarded with the Global Diversity Award by Rt Hon David Miliband MP, Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs at a Gala Dinner. Prior to the award presentation, she met British Prime Minister, Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP at the Houses of Parliament to be congratulated on winning the lifetime achievement award, which acknowledges her contribution to public appreciation and understanding of diversity. The highly-anticipated Unforgettable Tour, which brings the glamour, magic and stardust of Bollywood cinema to London’s O2 Arena for the very first time, will showcase Shilpa’s excellent dance skills and mesmerising performances, which will have audiences dancing in tandem along the aisles. |
