Dionne Warwick - Up Close and Personal

Images Video Audio
The legendary Dionne Warwick returns to London with her new show for a limited 12 night run at The Shaw Theatre from 1st to 16th December. This is a rare chance to see one of music’s greats up close and personal in the intimate surroundings of this 450 capacity theatre.
Dionne will lead you through a magical career spanning four decades, from her first ever live performance with Marlene Dietrich, the award winning Bacharach & David relationship right up to date with tracks from her forthcoming duets album ‘My Friends & I’ released early in 2007, which features Gladys Knight, Gloria Estefan, Cyndi Lauper, Mya and Kelis amongst others.

The first half of the show will feature her hits that include ‘Walk On By’, ‘Anyone Who Had A Heart’, ‘Do You Know The Way To San Jose’, ‘Don’t Make Me Over’ and ‘Heartbreaker’. The show will feature her sister Dede Warwick and Eunice Peterson on backing vocals.

During the second half Dionne will take questions from the audience about her extensive and hugely successful career.

Things you may not know about Dionne: She has her own skin care range called Enyo, she was the first African American to win a Grammy, in 1968 for the classic ‘Do You Know The Way To San Jose?” and she is a global ambassador for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation and Arista labelmate Barry Manilow produced her first platinum selling , ‘Dionne’.
