On Saturday 29 September 2007, Jahson will be performing his debut single “Gimme Gimme” at the Miss Trinidad & Tobago UK 2007 pageant and cultural show, under the distinguished patronage of Her Excellence Mrs Glenda Morean-Phillip, High Commissioner of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago to London. As Jason Leigh, he toured for five years with the Drifters, a magical experience sharing the stage with legends such as Sir Cliff Richard, Boy George, Robbie Williams and Duran Duran.

Born in Dulwich, London, he moved to Jamaica at the age of nine where he experienced the rich culture and musical traditions. Returning to England at the age of 12, Jahson continued to pursue his love of music. Additional inspiration and encouragement came in the form of his cousin Maxi Priest and eventually, Jason started performing cover versions of both Reggae and Motown classics.
In what can only be described as fate, after a performance, Jahson met Faye Treadwell, the Drifters manager. She invited him to audition at the Nomis Studios and two days later, he landed in Ireland to start singing with the Drifters. Touring with the Drifters was to be his life for the next five years.
Together with Alan Glass, Jahson co-wrote and co-produced Gimme Gimme, his first single from his Album Artistic Licence making Jahson’s ambition to release his own album a reality. Alan is well-known for writing for Mystique, The Lighthouse Family and Aretha Franklin, amongst others. The first single from this album “Gimme Gimme”, was released in July 2007, along with the video, which was shot on location in Thamesmead, London. It was a true family and friend’s affair, with his mum appearing in it. Jahson now resides in Kent.
"The first single from the Album Gimme Gimme is already proving to be a smash across the UK, loved by a wide ranging audience, young and old, you cannot help but get up and dance when you hear it!
Jahson is a truly amazing artist and often full of surprises, you never know what is coming next with him, and that is true to say about this album. Each track is very unpredictable and a welcome change to the music industry. This is his world in music, full of true life experiences and a close look into the soul of the man." ~ Zons PR
