Miss Trinidad & Tobago UK

Miss Trinidad and Tobago UK is Europe’s premier Caribbean Linked Beauty Pageant. Started in September 2003 by Carivog International, it is held annually in London under the distinguished patronage of Her Excellency Mrs Glenda Morean-Phillip, High Commissioner of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
This spectacular showcase and pageant sponsored by the Trinidad and Tobago Tourist Board ,Western Union Money Transfer, New Nation and the Caribbean Times, will commence on Sunday 24th September, 2006 at the luxurious Hammersmith Palais London W6.

The purpose of this event is to select a Trinbagonian beauty from the legacy of their diverse multicultural heritage to be an ambassador in the United Kingdom which can open opportunities both locally and internationally. We also utilise this occasion to celebrate Trinidad and Tobago Republic Day (when the twin island became republic) and our sporting heroes Soca Warriors.

The Miss Trinidad & Tobago UK cultural extravaganza attracts thousands of people of Trinidad and Tobago national and supporting Caribbean and UK nationals. Our VIP`S guests comes from sports, entertainment, embassies and other agencies.. The general public can participate by voting online for their favourite candidate for the title of Miss Website Queen.

The selected delegates within the age group 18-27 years are taken on a journey of self discovery and intellectual development as they participate in Holistic workshops comprising of make up, hair, deportment, protocol/etiquette by Carivog International Trinidad , show choreography training courtesy Carivog International UK and C I . Maniquin which assist to uplift the self-esteem of participants and strengthens their ability to cope with life’s challenges.

On the night of the show they will represent both selected areas of Trinidad and Tobago and their United Kingdom area of residence. They will parade in Carnival Costumes, Traditional Wear, Swimsuit and Gowns.

The evening program will consist of the delegates opening the show in carnival costume with the fusion of Soca and Tassa music . Delegates introduce themselves and the area they are representing both in the Trinidad and the UK.

A tribute to the soca worriers will be done with eleven beautiful past delegates in a choreographed routine commerating our footballers accomplishments.

Artistes for the evening, direct from Trinidad and Tobago are The Petrotrin Boodasingh Tassa Players Gold Medal winner of the 2005 World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Hollywood, California.
Sean Daniels 2006 Trinidad & Tobago Young King Soca Monarch, Gold Medal winner 2006 WCOPA .

Uk Artistes, Shirley Ramberan Uk Soca Chutney singer; Soca Banton, 2005UK Young King Soca Monarch and 2006 Grenada Road March Winner. Other supporting artistes are the talented soul singer Jamima Douglas winner of the title of Miss Elegance and Website queen of Miss Trinidad and Tobago UK2005. Darren Richards UK R&B Unsigned winner will be serenading the delegates accompanied by saxophonist La Salles. Steel band music by Ebony Steel band.

Our Mc`s for the night is Smokey Joe, Janine La Rosa and Alafair Celestine.Dj`s ,Soca Professor and other guest DJ`S.

Miss T&T UK Pageant has as its social mission a commitment to support suitable charitable efforts.

Who will be Miss Trinidad and Tobago UK 2006? It is left to the VIP panel of judges.

Project in progress: To commemorate the 5th Anniversary of this Pageant former title holders will be featured in our unique 2007 Calendar, which is being published to celebrate Trinidad and Tobago’s historical and cultural links to Great Britain, the territories of the Caribbean and the world. Calendars will be available from November 2006.
