Love Curry Trailer Coming To a City Near You

Images Video Audio
Free Pakora For All Who Nominate At Scottish Curry Awards Trailers Around Scotland.
This year’s Love Curry presents The Scottish Curry Awards have been moved from Monday May 10th to Tuesday June 15th at the Thistle Hotel, Glasgow. Nominations are still open to ensure your favourite restaurant, takeaway or even curry lover is in with a chance of winning one of the coveted trophies.

To garner as much public input as possible in deciding the winners of each category, for the next 3 weeks, every Monday, a dedicated team of curry lovers will be hitting one of Scotland’s key cities with the Love Curry trailer to go out and get the public’s vote. The team first hit Edinburgh’s Princes Street on one of the year’s first gloriously sunshiny days. Given the weather and the fact that every person who nominated received a free pack of pakora it wasn’t hard to get over 300 nominations within just a few hours of setting up.

Sarah, a mother of two we spoke to said, “We were just having a day out in Edinburgh, about to get some lunch, when we were approached from the Curry Awards trailer. As a family we get the same order from the same takeaway once a week and we love it, so it would be great to show them we appreciate them by nominating the team there for an award. We also got a wee pack of pakora each which was really tasty and meant we didn’t have spend any money on lunch.”

The Love Curry trailer is touring Scotland over the coming weeks giving out free packs of pakora to every person that nominates. The team will be visiting Glasgow on Monday April 19th, Dundee on Monday April 26th and lastly Aberdeen on Monday May 3rd. Among the range of awards on offer is Chef of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Restaurant of the Year, Takeaway of the Year and Curry Lover of the Year.

If you can’t make it to one of the trailer days, nomination forms can be found at www.lovecurry.info, you can post your nominations to The Scottish Curry Awards, Polar House, 20 Darnley Street, Glasgow, G41 2SE or email nominations@lovecurry.info unfortunately you don’t get any free pakora though.
