ExCel In The Arts Picnic


Enjoy the ultimate, pre-carnival warm up at the Excel in the Arts picnic, hosted by Caribbean Scene in conjunction with the Excel Centre and Festival of Youth Arts.
Face painting and a bouncy castle are sure to keep the kids occupied, while older visitors can enjoy the Soca dancing demonstrations or pick up a few bargains from the arts and crafts market.

The Caribbean Scene Food village will feature delicious snacks and eateries such as; the Jerk pan drum, traditional bbq and tropical fruits and smoothies.

Entertainment on the day includes music acts and performances by the award winning streetdance troupe, Boy Blue Entertainment who in 2007 won the Lawrence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre for their renown dance extravaganza ‘Pied Piper’. Described as one of the most exciting dance troupes in the UK, Boy Blue Entertainment have wowed audiences in venues such as; the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Opera House and Stratford Theatre Royal

Also not to be missed is the fashion show featuring the award winning design collective, The Ugly Kids Club. Fans of the Ugly Kids Club include Sway, Chris Brown and Cheryl Cole.
