The Oak turns over a new leaf for summer

Images Video Audio
From early August there will be a new addition to the gastro pub map, when The Oak at Hockley Heath opens its’ doors to customers.

Executive Chef Hash Chavda and Operations Manager Tony Day have moved on from The Red Lion in Claverdon and The Cross in Kenilworth, to join forces to form The Chilli Pub Company. Their first project together will see them transform the four acre former Royal Oak site at Hockley Heath into a 120 seat restaurant, a bar and function room.
This site, on the leafy Birmingham/Warwickshire border, has seen many incarnations over the past few years, namely ORO, The Eating Place, but the guys are excited to create a new and exciting dining experience for food lovers from all over the region. The extensive menu features an eclectic mix of modern European cuisine.

Executive Chef Hash Chavda is ready to fire up your taste buds with his creative new menu; offering traditional favourites with a contemporary twist. With his Indian upbringing, don’t be surprised to see some of your favourites with an inspiring Indian touch.

Hash says, “the emphasis is on fine food to suit the casual diner. You can try a great range of speciality seafood from the a la carte menu, have a casual light lunch of tapas or pop in for cakes and coffee. All the while, maintaining our reputation as creators of tasty dishes using the very best local ingredients. ”

Tony says, “the venue is an impressive space and we have enhanced it with ivory leather chairs, oak flooring and chandeliers. The understated chic adds to the relaxing atmosphere. If you feel like a cosy intimate dinner or a large function room for party, you’ll find something to suit everyone, or every mood.”

Their strong fan base of customers are eagerly awaiting the return of the duo and are expecting a tantalising menu, as well as high quality of service that they are renowned for in the Warwickshire region.

To mark the occasion there will be a grand opening on THURSDAY 31ST JULY 2008. Details and press invites to follow.
