Funded by the London Development Agency, the directory stemmed from the Creative Food Solutions (CFS) Project; a programme delivered by ABi to provide solutions to challenges faced by London food manufacturers. 140 food manufacturers received support over the two years of the project. It offered one-to-one advice, business clinics, showcasing/exhibition opportunities and workshops on subjects such as developing new markets, packaging and product design, selling to multiples, building and protecting a brand, PR, finance and franchising. The directory features 20 of London’s finest speciality food and drink manufacturers, and will be distributed to over 500 buyers in both the public and private sector. The aim is to help businesses featured in the directory to increase sales and their buyer portfolio. As a business support consultancy, ABi has built up a successful track record and knowledge of working with businesses in the food sector. ABi’s Managing Director, Vijay Amin, commented: “This is another example of how we can provide relevant and focused support to particular business sectors. This showcase is designed to benefit the food sector as a whole – both manufacturers and retailers.” Ends |
